Believe it or not, Mushrooms can benefit your brain

In 2019, a study was published that documented how important mushrooms are in our diet. The study reported that seniors who were given only two servings of mushrooms per week were half as likely to run into a decline in mental capability and thus, a reduced risk of Alzheimer’s.

A couple ways that mushrooms can benefit your health are Immune balance, antioxidant defenses, healthy microbiome support, nerve growth, and they provide a large amount of nutrients that are beneficial to your brain. While the study mentioned previously only establishes a correlation, mushrooms are still a vital part of anyone’s diet in order to keep your brain healthy and functioning as you age!
